After the blood clot four years ago, I have developed arthritis in the right shoulder. I also have a SLAP tear, which is the tendon that attaches the bicep to
the shoulder. Both are painful by themselves, together, they make for a great deal of pain and lack of sleep. I had a cortisone shot yesterday which allowed me
to sleep well last night and wake up with no pain this morning. If the cortisone wears off, then I'm looking at surgery to remove the bone spurs causing
the arthritis pain, and a couple of sutures to put the tendon back in place. About 6 months of recovery and treatment to get back to pre-surgery condition
(most patients go back to 100%). So, joy. I'm fucking old.
